Default Yummy Recipe

Have you all ever had Broccoli salad before? OMG it's the best! I could eat it everyday. My husband loves it too.

I always make it for whatever holiday it is, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's funny because family members pop out of the woodwork just to get their hands on the broccoli salad lol!

If you have never had it you really have to try it.

Here is what you need.

1 pkg bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
2 bunches of broccoli, tops cut small
4 oz cheddar cheese shredded
4 oz mozeralla cheese shredded
1 raw medium size onion diced

1 cup miracle whip
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vinegar

Mix all of the first set of ingredients together first. Make the sauce seperate. When making the sauce be sure that you stir it really well.

Mix the sauce in and allow it to marinate in the refridgerator for about an hour.

It is so good you will be wanting it all the time lol!

I have had this salad before and I have to agree that it is really one of the very best salads that I have every had before.

I understand why your family tends to appear out of thin air when you have made some.

I alway suggest this recipe to everyone because it is so good. now that you mentioned it, I think I may make some this evening. I am all of a sudden pretty hungry for Broccoli Salad,LOL.

I will also mention that my old man really isn't much for eating greens. He never eats salads when I make them with dinner, however when I make broccoli salad he seems to eat 85% of it which leaves everyone else just a little bit of the salad to enjoy.

For single mom cooking is simple and healthy!
There is nothing better than cooking chicken on the bone. Why? It keeps the meat moist and tender and adds a ton of flavor. Chicken breasts are peopleís go-to cut of meat if they are trying to eat healthy, but I challenge you to try a chicken thigh. They get a bad rap because they have more fat, but thatís true only if you eat it. Hereís a trick. Trim off any excess fat. Peel the skin away from the thigh but donít throw it away. Season the meat and add some fresh herbs. Pull the skin back over the thigh and roast it. Next, mix up a (sort of) BBQ sauce by combining honey with apple cider vinegar. When chicken is almost done, pull the crispy skin away and drizzle the honey mixture over the chicken. Return it to the oven for a few minutes and repeat. When the chicken is done, discard the skin and enjoy the tender, juicy, flavorful meat.


4 chicken thighs, bone in, with the skin
4 tsp. Maryís Secret Spice (MSS in your pantry items)
2 Tbsp. honey
2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
Fresh herbs (optional)
